YCA Birmingham’s Summer Trip to Skegness: A Day of Fun and Community

On Sunday, August 25th, the Yemeni Community Association in Birmingham hosted a vibrant Summer Trip to Skegness Beach. Over 200 members (men, women, and children) of the Yemeni and Arab communities joined the trip, enjoying a day of relaxation and friendship despite a slight weather shift.

Initially planned for a different location, the trip was seamlessly adjusted to Skegness Beach due to forecasts of windy weather. Buses departed from near Al-Amanah Mosque at 8:00 AM, returning from the seaside at 5:30 PM.

The day was filled with laughter and delighted interactions as families and friends spent quality time together. The positive feedback from participants highlighted the success of the outing.

Recognising Contributions

Mr. Mansour Ghaleb, a respected former YCA Chair and community leader, presented special recognition to outstanding participants who contributed significantly to the trip’s success.

A Huge Thank You to Our Volunteers

The YCA Board of Trustees extends its deepest gratitude to the incredible volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to organizing, coordinating, and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all participants throughout the day.
